New Flavors!

This week I had some time (and a very nice customer who let me pick her flavors) so I got to try some new recipes!!! 


First I updated my white cupcakes that are filled with raspberry. I baked the filling in the cupcake (rather than adding it after they were baked)... and I thought they turned out much better! You can't really see the flavor in this picture...but this was them...

The other new cupcake I've added to my menu are yellow cupcakes filled with miniature chocolate morsels. MMMMM. I like them with chocolate frosting...

On a different note, I have decided to charge extra for the filled cupcakes. The filling was not  a part of my original pricing structure, PLUS, they take more time to make. A dozen filled cupcakes (see my flavor combinations page for a full list of filled cupcakes) is now $20.

Boy Baby Shower

I guess I will use this order to display a new summer flavor! Key lime cupcakes with cream cheese frosting...topped with lime zest! They are soooooooo good...I've had lots of great reviews!

Since the key lime cupcakes were part of this order...I used light blue and lime green as my color scheme.

Noah's Arc Baby Shower

This order was fun...each dozen was a different flavor. The colors (which are hard to see in these pictures) matched the plates.

The theme...

Lemon with cream cheese frosting:

And finally...two JUMBO's...lemon and chocolate!

Mmmm....Lemon!

For the record....I am NOT a lemon person. I don't like lemon head candy, lemon ice, lemonade, lemon in my tea...I think you get the point. HOWEVER, these lemon cupcakes are delicious! The lemon flavor in the cake is light, more of a rich lemon flavor than a tangy lemon. The cake is topped with the cream cheese frosting and lemon zest. Mmmmm!

Two New Flavors...MMM!

I only had my new mixer a few hours before I HAD to try new recipes. I've been baking long enough to know that new recipes are always a gamble. This time it paid off!

• Peanut Butter! These peanut butter cupcakes have a creamy peanut butter cream cheese frosting. They are VERY rich, but very delicious.
• Chocolate Suprise! These are a devil's food chocolate cake filled with a minature Milky Way candy and are topped with chocolate frosting. Again, VERY rich....but tasty!

Sorry for my lack of pictures. My "tester" cupcakes were not very pretty. Hopefully I'll get an order soon so I can have something to post.
